Iodotropheus sprengerae is a real rock inhabitant. They are easy to keep and adapt very fast to the other fish in the aquarium. The males aren't territorial at all, most of the time they just swim around.

The males and females both have the same colour pattern, the females have a lesser colour intensity though. They can become 10 to 12 cm. The male in my aquarium was about 10 cm now, the females 8 cm.

They haven't got any fry in this tank, but they were displaying a lot.

They are very easy concerning food, they will eat anything offered. But, they mainly got food like spirulina or shrimp-peas mix and sometimes I gave them artemia`s.
