Aulonocara baenschi is a cichlid living between rocky areas and sand.
It's a very calm type which should be kept with other calm cichlids
(preferably not with other Aulonocara types because they intersect with eachother).
The male can get a
maximum length of 15 cm, females remain smaller.
The picture you see here is of a young male which I was having in my
aquarium. Unfortunately, this is the only picture I have of this type.
They have had offspring multiple times, exactly beneath the rock on
the picture. He made a small hole (more like cleaning the surface
of the sand), and lured a female and then she disposes the eggs.
